Kathleen Williams has been named external affairs coordinator for EKU's College of Business and Technology.

In her new role, she will facilitate ongoing student enrichment activities, coordinate special projects and events, and assist Dean Dr. Robert Rogow in representing the College of Business and Technology to internal and external groups.

"I'm very excited about this opportunity," Williams said. "The new Business and Technology Center project, which will be a big part of my job for the next several months, is extremely fascinating.

"Undoubtedly, watching students mature in the University environment and being a part of those enrichment activities that give them a sense of moving into the larger world will be the most rewarding part of the job," she added.

Williams first joined the Eastern staff in 1989 before leaving to earn her bachelor's degree in accounting (1993) and her master's in business administration (2000) from EKU.

She rejoined the University again in March of this year as administrative assistant in the College of Business and Technology.

Williams has held a variety of administrative support positions, most recently as office manager for the Richmond law firm, Sword, Floyd & Moody. She also was development coordinator for Berea's Appalachian Ministries Educational Resource Center (AMERC) and owned a business in her native Florida before moving to Kentucky in 1989.
