EKU's College of Education is providing a tuition break next semester
to those students taking their first course in any one of the College's
graduate degree programs.
One tuition-free course (a $459 value) will be provided to the first
60 new applicants admitted to any College
of Education graduate degree program in the Spring 2002 semester.
The offer applies to graduate courses taught on campus, at any EKU extended
campus center, other off-campus sites, via interactive television or
on-line.
Dr. Larry Sexton, associate
dean of the College, said the offer targets "those individuals who wouldn't
otherwise be here but who want to begin work toward a graduate degree.
It may be first- or second-year teachers, young professionals out in
industry or government who want to advance in their careers, someone
who can't find the job they want or those who want a second master's
degree."
The tuition waiver does not apply to certificate programs. College of
Education graduate programs include communications disorders, elementary
education, middle grade education, school counseling, instructional
leadership, human services, library science (K-12), mental health counseling,
secondary education (in a wide variety of subject areas) and special
education, with options in interdisciplinary early childhood, deaf and
hard of hearing, learning and behavior disorders and moderate and severe
disabilities.
