Dr. Jack Dyer, director of EKU's Master's of Business Administration (MBA) Program, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Government Accountants.

The award recognizes Dyer's "extraordinary commitment to excellence" as chairman of the Association's Journal Editorial Board 1996-2001. It was presented at the Association's Annual Professional Development Conference and Exposition in Boston, Mass.

"Dr. Dyer has ensured that every article published in The Journal of Government of Financial Management is of the highest possible quality while overseeing the general direction and mission of the publication," said AGA Public Affairs Manager Jennifer Curtin. "Dr. Dyer's exceptional contributions to AGA and to the Journal have made AGA a leading organization in the government financial management community."

Dyer, who joined the EKU faculty in 1989, is a member of the Kentucky Chapter of AGA.

The Association of Government Accountants, with 18,500 members, is devoted to meeting the continuing professional education needs of financial managers at all levels of government, the private sector and academe.
